Why cruise on Azamara? What makes it different and exciting? Two words, Destination Immersion.
Destination Immersion makes Azamara different from other cruise lines, and that’s one of the most important things to share with your clients. Rather than a quick glimpse of a destination from a tourist’s perspective, your clients will have opportunities to get to know each place through local people, cuisine, customs, and scenic excursions. It’s a much more rewarding way to travel.
Destination Immersion means longer stays, more overnights and night touring.
Over half of all Azamara port visits include a late night or overnight stay so your clients can enjoy evening experiences that other cruise guests miss. Longer stays also allow your clients to take longer day trips without fear of missing their ship’s departure time. Overall, longer, later stays are both more enriching and a more relaxing way to travel.
Azamara offers many choices for guided shore excursions called Land Discoveries®. These excursioms are led by carefully selected local guides, these tours are a great way to experience “must see” historic sites and monuments, local foods and wines, biking and hiking, countryside villages and beaches, national parks and much more. If it is a unique local experience, chances are we’ll have a Land Discoveries tour available.
Examples of Land Discoveries:
• A walk down memory lane on a “In the steps of The Beatles” tour in Liverpool
• A private chocolate tasting in Dubrovnik
• An unforgettable afternoon of shopping at the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market in Bangkok

Destination Immersion® means exclusive local excursions and after-hours tours
Azamara introduced three new experiences offering authentic destination experiences that guest will not forgot. Some are daytime excursions, while Nights and Cool Places explore local scenery and attractions after dark.
Here’s a brief description:
Guests go behind-the-scenes to meet local residents in their homes, farms, villas and workshops. A fantastic opportunity for conversations with people who keep local culture alive.
Nights and Cool Places
Guests are invited to join exclusive after-dinner events including cultural performances and private museum tours. Many of these excursions would be difficult if not impossible to arrange on their own.
Cruise Global, Eat Local
Azamara takes guests to specially selected small family restaurants known for locally sourced foods, wines and authentic regional specialties. There’s no better way to learn about a place than to dine with the locals!
Night in cool places
